SOME OF OUR VINEYARDS!

Domaine de Gadagne en Azurions

Name of our wines: Gadagne en Azurions

Grapes varieties: Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre.

Situation: The southern Rhône sub-region has a Mediterranean climate with mild winters and hot summers. The Terroir, together with the rugged landscape which partly protects the valleys from the Mistral produces a microclimate. It gives birth to a special wine. The “Domaine” is situated at the East of Avignon city on a plateau overlooking the Rhône valley close to Châteauneuf du Pape. It gets a maximal sunshine and is made up of rolled shingles. Its soil has an earliness flavour which allows an optimal maturity of the grapes (same soil than Châteauneuf du Pape vineyards).

Comments from the winemaker: I strive to make wines both stylish and well balanced, wines that are inviting on nose and gratifying on palate but mainly wines that are seductive in their youth and have the potential of long term ageing. My ultimate goal is to make wines that are expressive of the variety, elegant in style and of unquestionable quality and structure, which can compete with any other top wine, anywhere.

Château Haut Colombier

Noms des vins : Château Haut colombier AOC Blaye

Grapes varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot

Situation: The Bordeaux region is the second largest wine-growing area in the world. It is located halfway between the North Pole and the equator. The major reason for the success of winemaking in the Bordeaux region is the excellent environment for growing vines. The geological foundation of the region is limestone, leading to a soil structure that is heavy in calcium. The Gironde estuary dominates the region along with its tributaries, the Garonne and the Dordogne River. Together, they irrigate the land and provide a maritime climate for the region.

Comments from the winemaker: I wish to create wines, giving the wine lover an experience of our passion, tradition and perfection that goes into each bottle! Our first class wine, called AOC Blaye is the result of our best areas and strong selection. We are very strict on very low yield. We follow the same rules as in Saint-Emilion.

Domaine Guizard

Name of our wines:  Prestige, Tradition

Grapes varieties: Grenache, Shiraz, Mourvèdre, Cabernet Sauvignon

Situation: The Languedoc-Roussillon region shares many terrain and climate characteristics with the neighboring regions of Southern Rhone and Provence. The region stretches 150 miles (240 km) from the Pyrenees in the west, along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea to the Rhone River and Provence in the east. The northern boundaries of the region sit on the Massif Central with the Cévennes mountain ranges and valleys dominating the area. Many vineyards are located along the Hérault River.

Comments from the winemaker: My goal is to produce wines as natural as the grapes I was given by Nature. In order to capture all the flavors of the variety and terroir in the wines, it is all year job. We start with the grapes to end with the wine. I hope my wine can be enjoyed by anyone. Our vineyard is in our family for 400 years now, we know what can come out from our grapes…

Domaine La Croix des Loges

Name of our wines: Anjou, Côteaux Du Layon,…

Grapes varieties: Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Chenin

Situation: The Anjou region of the Middle Loire is situated around the town of Angers. It is known primarily for the Rosé wines based on the Cabernet franc grape-including the Rosé d'Anjou and the Cabernet d'Anjou. White wine made from the Chenin blanc is known as Anjou Blanc. Chenin blanc grape has been planted in the region since at least 845 AD when it was planted at the Abbey of Glanfeuil. Throughout the years it was known in the region under a variety of synonyms including Pineau de la Loire and Franc-blanc.

Comments from the winemaker: I believe in making wines that express the intrinsic characteristics of the grapes. This will vary from area to area and is therefore unique to a farm and even to a specific block within a farm's vineyards. This also means that I don't believe in trying to emulate any other winery. We must make wines that express our Terroir and thereby create our own individuality. Suffice it to say that my philosophy is based on passion, seriousness and humility.
